OUR SERVICE

What if my child has a medical condition or disability?

Parents of children with medical conditions or disabilities may also benefit from our services. Having a medical condition or disability does NOT exclude a child from the many problems that commonly affect all babies and children. Although we DO NOT provide advice specifically related to your child's condition or disability, we may be able to assist you with other problems that you may be experiencing with your baby or child.


I have seen multiple health professionals in the past, what makes you able to help when they haven't?

Health care providers often fail to help parents because most view a baby/child care problems from ONLY a medical perspective. Problems experienced by WELL babies and children are RARELY medically based. Having many years of experience working with SICK babies and children and now specializing in providing PARENTING advice related to WELL babies and children, our Consultants are able to understand baby/child care problems from BOTH medical and behavioral perspectives.

What we DO that is OFTEN different to other health professionals is ...

  1. We provide the necessary TIME to make a thorough assessment. (Behavior based problems CANNOT be assessed in a brief consultation.)
  2. We don't GUESS at what the problem MIGHT BE. We examine all possibilities by ASKING QUESTIONS ... lots of them, which assist us to understand your baby.
  3. We REALLY LISTEN to you! (YOU have the information WE NEED to identify the source of the problem.)
  4. We EXPLAIN our recommendations in DETAIL. (As you have no doubt already discovered, there is NO 'fast fix' when it comes to complex WELL baby/child care problems.)
  5. We provide FOLLOW-UP support for our clients to MAKE SURE our advice is working.

How can you solve a problem when you can't SEE my child?

Unlike a medical doctor who NEEDS to SEE your child to EXAMINE him or her for physical symptoms in order to diagnose a medical condition, we explore the reasons for a HEALTHY baby/child's BEHAVIOR. We could do this by spending days observing your child OR ... we could ask YOU questions. After all you know your baby/child's behavior BETTER than anyone else!

In other words, we use OUR experience and knowledge about WELL babies and children to interpret what YOU see.

Each of our consultants has many years of experience providing PARENTING advice over the telephone and by e-mail, and knows which questions to ask to pinpoint the cause of your WELL baby or child's difficult OR distressed behavior OR sleep problems.


Is this service only suitable for parents?

This service is NOT limited to parents. Grandparents, concerned family or friends, child minders or nannies, in fact anyone who cares for babies or small children may all find our service very useful.

PAYMENT

How is payment made?

We don't ask for payment until AFTER your consultation so that we can guarantee your satisfaction! We email you an account for the agreed fee following your initial telephone conversation, OR if you are using our email service, after you have received our assessment. The email account will provide a link for you to make an easy, on-line credit card payment via the secured services of PayPal.com.

If you have never used PayPal before, it is a simple process to register and add your credit card details. If you have used PayPal in the past, the process is even simpler. PayPal's payment service is FREE to you!

Please Note: only the following credit cards are accepted: Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express


Who pays for the telephone call?

If you live in any of the countries listed below, we pay the cost of the call so there will be NO telephone call charge for you to pay in ADDITION to your consultation fee.

  • Germany
  • Netherlands
  • Hong Kong
  • Singapore

If you live outside these countries, and would like to use our telephone service, telephone charges may apply in ADDITION to your consultation fee. If you would like to discuss this further, please contact us at info@babycareadvice.com.

An alternative would be to use our email consultation service.


What if I DON'T use US dollars in my country?

No problem! You can use your credit card to purchase in ANY CURRENCY from ANYWHERE in the world. Although payments via PayPal are made using US dollars, your CREDIT CARD PROVIDER will automatically convert the amount into your currency, based on the exchange rate at the time of purchase.

APPOINTMENTS

Is it necessary to book an appointment?

It is necessary to book an appointment to use our Telephone Consultation Service to make sure a consultant is available at a time convenient to you. However, you don't need to book a set time to use our Email Consultation Service


When are telephone appointments available?

Appointments are available 7 days a week, but times will vary depending on which country and time zone you live in. For example, clients living in the USA will find appointments available in the afternoon and evenings, whereas clients living in the UK will find appointments available in the mornings.

After entering your time zone on the registration form, all appointment times displayed in consultant's diaries will be automatically adjusted to reflect your local time.


Are appointments confidential?

Absolutely! All appointments will remain confidential, whether they are conducted in a private chat room or by telephone. See our Privacy & Security Policy.

What if I can't attend my appointment?

If you are unable to attend your appointment, you can RESCHEDULE OR CANCEL your appointment at ANY TIME. You can reschedule your own appointment after you log in. To cancel your appointment, simply email us at info@babycareadvice.com as soon as possible.


What happens if I have an appointment and my consultant is ill?

We will email you and arrange the following option of your choice ...

  1. To talk with another consultant at the scheduled time; OR
  2. To rebook appointment with your original consultant for a future time.
