A Sleep Consultation with Rowena Bennett can assist you in identifying the cause of your baby's sleeping troubles. We will assess both feeding and sleeping and work with you to provide an effective plan that will enable your baby to sleep as well as is possible for his age. Better sleep for your baby means less stress and better sleep for you.

There are four steps involved in a Sleep Consultation.

STEP 1 - Questionnaire: Once you have booked a consultation, you will receive a confirmation email that includes a link to an online questionnaire. Please complete the questionnaire at a time convenient to you, but submit in advance of your scheduled appointment.

STEP 2 - Discussion: Your consultant will contact you at the scheduled Tim via the communication method of your choice. This part of the consultation process typically takes between 40 to 75 minutes. [Note: We don't need to see your baby at this time.}

STEP 3 - Written plan: As soon as possible following the discussion, your consultant will send you a written plan. This includes the information discussed plus links to online articles that you may find helpful.

STEP 4 - Review: If you are not observing signs of improvement within the time-frame provided, your consultant will review.

The types of baby and toddler sleeping problems we can assist with include...

Sleep-association problems - where a baby naps only briefly and/or wakes frequently during the night. It is the most common cause of sleep deprivation for babies and parents.

Body-clock problems - where a baby is awake very late in the evening, or awake for hours in the middle of the night, or wakes very early in the mornings.

Independent settling methods - We can advise on a range of sleep-training methods from gradual gentle methods for newborns to fast methods for sleep-deprived babies and parents.

Parent-assisted settling methods - You might enjoy supporting your baby to fall asleep but are looking for ways to encourage him to sleep longer.

Transitioning from a crib to a bed - Moving a toddler from a crib to a bed can create a new set of problems. We can explain how to prevent and resolve toddler sleeping problems.

Our expertise is in resolving ‘behavioral’ problems - which are the most common of all reasons for physically well babies and toddlers to become distressed and/or experience feeding, sleeping, and growth problems. We provide practical parenting advice related to infant feeding, settling, and soothing methods.

We are renowned for providing effective drug-free solutions to complex baby care problems that health professionals - who focus only on physical causes - are unable to solve. Medications, dietary change, and surgical procedures will not resolve behavioral problems. [See our Testimonials.]

The power to fix your baby's sleeping problem is in your hands. You just need to learn how. We have the knowledge and experience to guide you.
